ESG/sustainability is a continuously evolving landscape and sustainability reporting requirements continue to increase globally. Aside from compliance, organizations are facing greater expectations not only from regulatory bodies, but also from different stakeholders: customers, investors, employees, suppliers, lenders, etc.
We are currently building an ESG Product team to support our ConveneESG Software product which aims to support our clients in their sustainability reporting journey from standard compliance to next-level ESG governance. The team will continue to grow over the next years as we continue to expand our market and grow our clients. We are looking for candidates with relevant sustainability and ESG reporting or ratings/analysis background to join our team. The tasks of an ESG Product Specialist include ESG disclosure/data mapping, sustainability report writing, client engagement/support, tracking of sustainability reporting updates, etc.
The successful candidate is expected to have a strong interest in general ESG trends and topics, as well as a keen eye for details on data/disclosure quality. S/he will be working with colleagues and clients globally, e.g., Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- Provide support needed by clients in creating templates and preparing sustainability reports using applicable local provisions and/or frameworks e.g. Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS), etc.
- Work on mapping and extraction of qualitative/quantitative data to be used for peer disclosure comparison or benchmarking from relevant documents such as sustainability reports and annual reports.
- Support client onboarding and software handover by organizing and gathering client needs and facilitating software walkthrough/client training.
- Prepare disclosure review summary and provide disclosure recommendations to clients (as needed) based on best practices and upcoming requirements in the covered market or jurisdiction.
- Review, process, and respond to client queries within the turn-around-time as defined by the team goals.
- Review the draft reports, manage high-quality standards, and improve existing templates.
- Track and monitor developments and trends on ESG reporting requirements in the markets/jurisdictions covered by the team.
- Participate in, and contribute to further development of processes and improvements in the ESG product offering by collaborating with colleagues within the team as well as from other departments such as IT, Marketing, etc.
- Support overall team goals by taking ownership of production targets, delivering required output of high quality, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Provide internal support by contributing to periodic training sessions to develop the team's knowledge base (as needed).
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's degree e.g. Business, International Development/Relations, Social Science, Interdisciplinary Studies, etc. (a degree in sustainability or any relevant field such as environmental science or international human rights is good to have, but not required).
- Has at least 2-3 years of professional experience in sustainability/ESG-related roles, preferably with disclosure analysis, data extraction, and report writing experience.
- Knowledge on different company disclosures and reporting requirements such as annual and sustainability reports.
- Experience in issuer/client communication and working with teams across different geographies is preferred.
- Good to have: Strong background/knowledge on sustainability topics in key sectors.
- Strong written and oral communication skills (English).
- Excellent research, analytical, and time management skills.
- Results-driven and has the ability to work under pressure and can work on daily/weekly deadlines.
- Self-motivated, works well independently or with a team.
- Good to have (but not required): Completed certifications on international frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, SASB, etc.

- This role is for temporary work-from-home set-up until an indefinite schedule. Work tools will be provided.
- This role is for a mid-shift working schedule.
- Successful background check and valid NBI clearance will also be required prior to the start date.
