The ESG consultant will collaborate closely with the ESG Officer and report to the ESG Manager at the Singapore headquarters. This role is primarily responsible for supporting ESG initiatives, conducting ESG assessments during the pre-investment phase, and overseeing the ongoing monitoring and reporting of ESG performance across portfolio companies. The objective is to ensure alignment with the organization's environmental and social commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation and continuous management of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) at the Singapore headquarters.
Conduct research to support ESG evaluations of potential investment targets.
Coordinate with external consultants for ESG due diligence on prospective investments.
Work alongside the Investment Team to facilitate the execution of Environmental and Social Action Plans within portfolio companies managed by funds advised by the Singapore headquarters.
Track ESG key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the progress of ESAP implementation across portfolio companies.
Support the preparation of external ESG reports by gathering and analyzing data from portfolio companies.
Requirements
A graduate degree in one of the following fields: environmental sciences, social sciences, sustainable development, engineering, finance, or other related disciplines.
At least:
Four (4) years of experience specifically in ESG-related roles, or
Six (6) years of overall professional experience, with at least three (3) years dedicated to ESG work.
Knowledge and familiarity with the IFC Performance Standards and World Bank Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Guidelines.
Exposure to climate risk assessments is advantageous.
Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
