Manage the project in accordance with OWNER EHS guidelines and work with the developer, designers, contractors, and all other consultants to ensure appropriate EHS standards are upheld, including appropriate site and project inspections.
Assist in the general Contractor award process.
Develop an EHS Plan & Framework.
Provide support for any additional advisory, design, or consulting services outside of the Developer, Designer, and Construction contracts (e.g., EHS Support, Geotechnical, etc.) to achieve the greatest value for the overall project.
Participate in reviewing and reporting on tenderer’s submissions, programs, and method statements, prepare a bid tabulation/comparison matrix, and advise on acceptability.
Assist with the ComplyWorks process if the Owner directs the team to prequal vendors through ComplyWorks. Participate in prequalification/1st stage tender interviews as required.
Vet vendors to ensure adherence to OWNER policies.
Ensure appropriate background checks on 3rd party contractors and their employees are completed in accordance with OWNER’S Site Access Policy.
Coordinate and ensure that contractors hired by OWNER meet the requirements of Owner’s safety policy (TS 2026), which requires that Tier 1 contractors have an equivalent sub-contractor prequalification process. If they do not, the Tier 1 contractor must use OWNER'S prequalification system. If directed, facilitate subcontractor submission of all required documents through ComplyWorks.
Perform overall project safety governance and approvals.
Ensure all prime contractors provide the required permits, bonds, accepted safety plan, and insurance prior to the commencement of work.
Coordinate site mobilization with the Owner and Developer, following the OWNER Mobilization Tollgate requirements using the Mobilization Authorization Checklist.
Review the detailed cost plan and forecast for construction activity linked to the overall project budget and scope submitted by the Contractor, ensuring sufficient budget is allocated for safety aspects.
Conduct or attend weekly construction site meetings with Contractors and regularly scheduled meetings with the Owner, Designers, and Contractors (OAC) as required by the project.
Ensure appropriate permits are submitted to the appropriate AHJ and copies are loaded into Box and PM-Web.
Monitor compliance with site Environmental Health & Safety [EHS] requirements.
Conduct site safety audits as agreed in the site safety plan.
