Responsibilities and Key Outcomes

• Act as a Global / Regional representative of BASF Digital community, supporting BASF Digital roadmap, helping GDS to identify, execute, and implement customer-centric digital solutions in an actionable and measurable way.
• As part of the Strategy and Enterprise Architecture team, take over an active role in the coordination, specification, design, and evaluation of enterprise architecture related topics.
• Collect and manage enterprise architecture requirements globally within BASF.
• Actively participate in different communities and support communication in enterprise architecture.
• Establish a proactive guiding role by communicating architectural direction broadly to ensure alignment from the start.
• Define and govern architectural standards, tools, methodologies, and blueprints for consistency and quality.
• Develop and provide tools for domains, organizations, or regions to manage their digital landscapes with architecture principles embedded.
• Facilitate collaboration across architectural community to optimize the IT landscape, ensuring seamless integration and business strategy alignment.
• Ensure enterprise/solution architects have opportunities for training, hands-on work, and certifications to stay current with technological advancements.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, or in a comparable field.
• Minimum 3 years related working experience in the required technical & professional requirements below.

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Mandatory)

• Experience in selecting, implementing, and managing enterprise architecture tools.
• Expertise in architecture design principles and architecture tooling platform.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities across various levels.
• Ability to drive innovation and foster collaboration across teams and domains.
• Knowledge in at least one business process or functional area.
• Good interpersonal skills within an international team and fluent in English.

Technical & Professional Knowledge (Additional Plus/Nice to Have Skills)

• Experience/Knowledge of LeanIX and TOGAF is a plus.
• Basic knowledge about DevOps, integration patterns, and APIs is a plus.
• Experienced in Agile ways of working or agile implementation approach.
