Job Summary

To oversee the activities related to the technical support and process development engineering functions of a manufacturing area. Plans and implements the development of new and scale-up process formulas. Establishes operating equipment specifications and acts as a liaison with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible. Directs efforts to achieve cost-effectiveness and improved product quality. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

We’re looking to add a Director of Operations Engineering located in Senai, Johor.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

• Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several senior Manufacture engineering managers involved in activities related to process engineering capabilities and statistical process control systems.
• Organize and guide Project/Program reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications.
• Partner with other functional managers to ensure manufacture-engineering activities are well integrated with manufacturing operations.
• Provide guidance and feedback to subordinate managers to ensure achievement of goals and objectives.
• Plan, budget, and manage the Manufacture Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance and NPI group costs in line with corporate objectives.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
• Develop, modify, and implement company policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effects.
• Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers in controversial situations, contract negotiations or other matters for which influence skills are required.
• Oversee/support business transfer/ramp from a technical aspect, to further strengthen site overall technical capabilities in supporting future growth.

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of management experience.
• A Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.
• Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
