Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and creative person to join our team.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for this position.

Mandarin speaker is required for the role to communicate with China Stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Tooling Designer
  • Design new tooling, tooling modification, and de-flashing Jig & fixture.
  • Preparing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for customer approval and tool maker.
  • Collaborate with tool maker, process, and tooling team to provide product recommendations for tooling improvement.
  • Collaborate and review tooling construction/DFM with the process team before tooling fabrication.
  • Provide creative solutions to mold design and determine its suitability to existing process and machine in production.
  • Tooling improvement to contribute to yield improvement, productivity, and reliability.
  • Ensure mold dimensions and basic qualities are met prior to actual mold-running evaluation.
  • Support FA tooling buy-off activities such as mold testing and troubleshooting of mold-related issues.
  • Maintain a systematic filing of all tooling related documents e.g. PRs, quotations, drawings, DFM, tooling history, tooling measurements, etc.
  • Continuously improve QRF processing time with tooling quotation follow-up and compile tooling comparison quote.
  • Document all new tooling activation activities such as comparison quote and tooling construction.
  • VMM & CMM measurement for tooling buy-off.
  • Work on tooling damage preventive action.
  • Update all tooling related documents to reflect the latest and correct status.
  • Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or Manager.
  • Process Engineer (Mandarin Speaker)
    • Initiate QRF Costing Worksheet includes (Customer drawing review, new material specification study, layout orientation design optimization, material yield calculation, process development & cycle time control and machine/tooling selection).
    • Responsible for supporting the frontline sales team in addressing and fulfilling customers’ requirements.
    • Evaluate and conduct testing for process optimization which includes cycle time & cost analysis in process efficiency enhancement and material waste reduction.
    • Enhance the machine and process capability to increase throughput efficiency.
    • Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) on new project/part to assess the capability of manufacturing process.
    • Assist in developing tailored solutions for specific requirements in new product development.
    • Collaborate with QA in root cause analysis and provide corrective action towards quality issues.
  • NPI (New Product Introduction)
    • Confers with management, operations, and sales team to discuss project specifications and procedures.
    • Coordinates and directs projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
    • Facilitates the product launching process and ensures effective communication with stakeholders.
    • Keeps updated with the production of new products from project planning to mass production.
    • Collaborates with tooling and design personnel in development teams.
    • Provides technical expertise or support related to tooling and process manufacturing.
    • Reviews product design for manufacturability and completeness.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics, Tools & Die)
    • Min 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering/rubber industry
    • Ability to operate CMM machine and write dimensional reports.
    • Knowledge in 2D and 3D software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD is preferred.
    • Able to perform tooling construction and DFM documentation.
    • 2-3 Years Experience Technical Work in Manufacturing Environment.
    • Bachelor's degree, PMP Certification Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
    • Experience in using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
    • Proposal preparation of improvement/automation projects.
