The incumbent is responsible as a technical generalist for equipment, process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation. Act as the overall coordinator for all internal & external engineering on projects as required. In this capacity, is responsible for the successful design, implementation, commissioning, and hand-over of projects assigned by the Project Manager.
Duties And Responsibilities
Project Management:
Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases & elements reviewing bids from contractors.
Controls project plan by reviewing design, specification, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
Process Improvement
Acts as an internal consultant for location to lead, define & develop continuous improvement activities & redesign activities.
Responsible for the support & integration of continuous improvement efforts at the site which includes completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
Plans & coordinates training to others who will support the execution of continuous improvement strategies and tools.
Leads problem-solving efforts to improve quality & eliminate waste / cost of poor performance at each plant.
Applies statistical methods/analysis to improve process capability, reduce process variation & optimize breakthrough performances.
Designs, drives, and performs operational analysis of the manufacturing processes.
Identifies key elements of process improvement and partners with process owners to deliver sustainable and repeatable change.
Develops and prepares the improvement indexes and related reports.
Functions as a process improvement expert regarding tasks, projects, and operations.

Requirements
Education:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and related operations/process improvement experience.
Work Experience
Minimum 1-2 years working in electrical, control system, and instrumentation engineering.
Preferred 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
