Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Engineer/Senior Engineer – Build Technology & AI (Artificial Intelligence) to join the RTS Asset Operation in Johor Bahru. Your Role:

• Assist in developing Build Technology and AI systems to ensure implementation is in compliance with design requirements, standards, and safety regulations.
• Review design deliverables by the Consultant, Vendor & its subcontractor and ensure that it is in order and in compliance with the project goals and specifications/requirements.
• Assist in coordinating with multiple parties including employer representatives, consultants, vendors, and statutory/authority agencies for the establishment of the design & installation requirements for submission and implementation.
• Attend to technical clarifications and site coordination as required to address issues and problems that arise.
• Assist in the management of Build Technology and AI systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform routine checks and troubleshooting of Build Technology and AI systems, identifying any issues and ensuring that systems are operating correctly without disruption.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed by the Management to improve the functionality and security of the Build Technology and AI system.
• Monitor, generate records, analyze system performance metrics, and conduct evaluations from the command center and analytical center, proposing improvements or optimizations.
• Monitor and record vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
• Ability to navigate and utilize all features and modules within the Building Technology and AI system.
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills for technical reports, recording maintenance activities, work orders, asset information, and inventory levels.

Your Profile:

• Minimum Degree Level Education in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Communication Technology (ICT), or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-6 years working experience in ICT and/or Communication Engineering preferably in Smart-City Buildings or Border Checkpoint.
• Strong knowledge in security systems, communication systems, and building management systems.
• Understanding of the three criteria (Safety & Security, Customer Experience & Facility Building Management) will be an added advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English and able to communicate with different levels of people in a multi-national project environment and motivate the project activities for timely delivery.
• Proficiency in computing and AI software.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Technologist, Cybersecurity) are an added advantage.

MRT Corp has also been appointed as the Malaysian InfraCo for the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Project between Johor Bahru and Singapore. The full opening of the line is targeted to be on 31 December 2026.
