Mechanical Engineer is responsible to keep and maintain Plant equipment in safe condition for operation, always available for operation, develop and implement strategies for improving maintenance work, enhance plant equipment performance, sustaining equipment reliability, reduce breakdown, while keeping optimized maintenance expenses.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of technicians for all repair and maintenance works according to work orders either given directly or indirectly from the Asset Maintenance Planning Team.
• Assist and support asset maintenance & plant engineering section head for Planning, Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation.
• Assist in planning yearly OPEX & CAPEX budget and ensure expenditure falls in line with the budget.
• Continuously track machine performance & downtime by monitoring MTBF (mean time before failure) performance & MTTR (mean time to repair).
• Maintain & monitor parts inquiry and inventory.
• Keep track of all machinery repair and rectification as well as perform Root Cause Analysis for repeated failure, high MTTR equipment, and high repair cost equipment.
• Serve as a liaison between maintenance and operations.
• Ensure that the repair works get done as per priority within the framed budget and timeline by maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management.
• Develop together with Asset Maintenance Planning Team annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly plans for preventive & predictive maintenance.
• Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities by task and priority level.
• Any ad hoc task assigned by superior from time to time.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or any related field.
• Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and working in a related field for more than 8 years.

RELEVANT WORKING EXPERIENCE:

• Junior Mechanical Engineer with experience of 1-2 years.
• Hands-on experience in incinerator, power plant, and boiler industry.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:

• Knowledge in SAP Plant Maintenance Module or CMMS is an added advantage.
• Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• AutoCAD & Solid Works is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills, analytical thinking, good emotional intelligence, confident, able to work independently with minimum supervision, strong leadership skills, highly motivated, and able to work under pressure.
