Role Overview:

The member joining this position will work at an Associate band and be part of the Steam System Division. This team-focused role will involve collaboration and support within a dynamic work environment. Travel may be required to Johor/Selangor regions for business generation as well as to maintain strong customer relationships. The member will work with various stakeholders, including teams from SSD ensuring smooth project execution and effective communication to meet company and customer expectations.

Location: Forbes Marshall, Malaysia Petaling Jaya

Organisation Structure: Reporting to Team Lead

Purpose of the Role: Responsible for Steam Systems Business generation among Actual Users for the Process customers in the designated region.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To perform scoping and plant surveys to understand the customer requirement and provide the solution of steam products to save thermal energy and fuel.
  • To propose engineering solutions to customers in the process industry like Food & beverage, textiles, pharmaceutical, chemicals, solvent extraction, and edible oils.
  • To adhere to the Forbes Marshall approach of benefits and savings to customers in order to sell steam products such as steam traps, condensate recovery systems, hot water generators, control valves, steam flow meters, etc.
  • To make survey report after plant visit for trap selection, good engineering practices, trap leakage and submit the proposal with benefits and payback.
  • To fill the Industrial database and study the existing steam generation, steam distribution, process steam utility, and condensate recovery.
  • To make techno-commercial proposals and try to get it converted into a business prospect.
  • To visit customers every week: 8-10 customers in a week.
  • Offer generation: 4-6 offers in a week.
  • Ready to travel 4-5 days in a week for customer visits.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Experience: Candidate must have 2 - 5 years of experience in Technical sales.
  • Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical Engineering).
  • The candidate must have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Should have knowledge of manufacturing setup.
