Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Responsible for level 2 to level 3 operation support for manufacturing messaging middleware and Workflow systems related services via incident management with rotational on-call standby support to meet user's expectations and FI Operations Excellence/KPI.
- Monitor system health, and capacity and perform pro-active system maintenance to ensure reliable 24x7 operation of mission-critical applications.
- Drive investigation to resolve complex issues and contribute to problem management for pro-active management of FI application services.
- Planning and execution of deployment management, including system testing and user training, with zero defect mindset and system stability.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure a sufficient and proper transition from product management or projects to operation.
- Select appropriately, develop, adapt, or enhance monitoring and operation tools when necessary.
- Proactively support continuous process improvements for service transition and operation.
- Support projects and operation activities where manufacturing messaging middleware and Workflow systems are involved.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (team, management, partners, customers, users) toward common objectives and quality targets.
- Actively maintain own knowledge and contribute to the development of others with proper documentation.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering/ Information Technology.
- Hands-on experience with various operating systems and cloud platforms (E.g. Windows Server, Linux, OpenShift).
- Knowledge of data networking, shell scripting, messaging/service-oriented, workflow frameworks and protocols (E.g. TCP, UDP, message queue, REST, FTP, Web services, WCF).
- Knowledge of relational databases (E.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and familiarity with messaging middleware (E.g. TIBCO Rendezvous, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ).
- Experience supporting or maintaining IT middleware and distributed systems.
- ITIL service operation management knowledge/certification.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to understand complex systems.
- Professional level of written and spoken English, good communication and presentation skills.
