Electronics Design Lead (Automation)

We are currently looking for Electronics Design Lead (Automation) for an electronics manufacturer company based in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

The Role

• Safety-Focused Design: Develop machine control systems adhering to CE and local safety standards.
• Electrical Circuit Expertise: Create and maintain Electronics Circuit Diagrams (ECDs) for production, upgrades, and custom machines.
• Process Improvement: Identify and resolve electrical process and component weaknesses through data analysis and calculations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with various departments (management, sales, assembly, etc.) and suppliers to drive product development.
• Market and Product Analysis: Conduct market research and evaluate competitor products to inform design decisions.
• Product Redesign and Optimization: Enhance equipment functionality, address obsolescence, and reduce costs through product redesign.
• Project and Specification Development: Create detailed design projects, specifications, and test instructions.
• Prototype Management and Presentation: Oversee prototype development, present designs, and manage product testing.
• Project Management and Continuous Improvement: Manage projects, implement corrective actions, and maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S).

The Experience

• Demonstrates strong communication skills, enabling seamless teamwork within R&D and across departments, while also capable of independent work.
• Possesses expertise in E-CAD systems.
• Exhibits a solid understanding of relevant regulations, machine design standards, and employs critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Displays flexibility in time management, ability to perform under pressure, and demonstrates resilience by accepting feedback and driving improvement.
