Electrical Engineer (Senior or Junior)

The role

SNJ Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a driven and experienced Electrical Engineer, at either the senior or junior level, to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems for our diverse range of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the electrical components of projects are integrated seamlessly.
• Conducting site inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any electrical issues.
• Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and building codes.
• Providing technical support and guidance to construction crews.
• Preparing detailed reports, drawings, and documentation related to electrical systems.
• Continuously staying up-to-date with the latest electrical engineering technologies and best practices.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the electrical engineering field (for junior-level candidates) or 8+ years of experience (for senior-level candidates).
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, construction methods, and project management.
• Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or equivalent certification is preferred for senior level.
• Preferable for candidate able to travel to different project site locations.
