about the job

• Electrical & ELV System Design – Develop designs for Electrical & ELV Services, including Earthing & Lightning Protection and Security Systems, in compliance with UBBL and relevant standards.

• Cost Estimation – Prepare project cost estimates for all Electrical Services.

• Authority Liaison – Coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain necessary approvals.

• Consultant Coordination – Participate in CCM, TCM, and other meetings, ensuring smooth collaboration with consultants, including architects and structural engineers.

• Tender Administration – Oversee the tendering process, including preparing documents, drawings, reports, and conducting tender interviews.

• Construction Oversight – Manage electrical services during construction by producing and reviewing drawings, approving shop drawings, attending site meetings, resolving site issues, witnessing testing & commissioning, and coordinating authority inspections.

• Project Verification – Assess contractor progress claims and finalize accounts, ensuring the building is defect-free before project completion.

skills/requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, ETAP, or other electrical design tools.

• Registered with a relevant professional body (e.g., BEM in Malaysia, IEM, or other regulatory bodies).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E consultancy or related fields.

• Familiarity with local building codes, UBBL, MS IEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards.
