Job Responsibilities:

1. To assist the client project management team in the technical aspect (electrical).
2. To review and provide justification (with budgetary cost and lead time) on design amendments required to meet site constraints/conditions so that Client can approve them as design changes.
3. Design changes on design schematic and system architecture will be done by the Client.
4. Design changes on site coordinated services will be developed by the Engineer and sent to the client for approval.
5. To review and recommend to Client for approval of material submissions by contractors.
6. To endorse the submission of regulated materials by Contractors and Equipment Vendors.
7. Contractor will resolve service clashes among trade contractors and present to Electrical Engineer for review.
8. To recommend the approval of service clashes resolution to the Client for approval.
9. To validate and endorse the accuracy of as-built, material, equipment model and capacity supplied and installed on-site.
10. To review and sign off method statements, material specifications, and detailed drawings to ensure that installation is done correctly for Mechanical/Electrical services. This includes but is not limited to cable installation in trefoil arrangement, cables of parallel UPS are of equal impedance to ensure equal loading, refrigerant pipe arrangements are free from single points of failure, and quality of embedded services.
11. To conduct daily inspections on site and provide assurance of the quality of work by the contractors and Equipment Vendors.
12. To report directly to the Client Project Director.
13. To provide a weekly report to the Client Project Manager.
14. To attend weekly Project Meetings and Design Meetings.

Job Requirements:

1. Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. At least 10 years of experience in Malaysia technical site construction.
3. Must be able to converse in Mandarin (as the candidate will be liaising with Mandarin speaking clients).
4. Full-time site-based.
