Electrical Designer Protégé Trainee (Ref. No. R1007383)at our location in Kuala-LumpurYou will enjoy having these responsibilities:- Responsible for the rebranding of engineering documentation and drawing templates.
- Responsible for the review of drawings and notes and update replace any logo references.
- Implement new drawing format principles so that references to company logo and name information are not present in drawings and documents.
- Prepare the change requests in the engineering tools.
- Responsible for the 1st pass review of peer rebranded documents and drawings against the originals.
- Proficient with the use of development tools, CAD packages (Microstation, AutoCAD, AutoCAD electrical).
- Rebrand product and project documentation and interfaces with technical staff members and various other stakeholders.
- Contribute to improvements in hardware quality.
- Locate and research source documentation for design activities prior to initiating rebranding updates.
- Manage assigned tasks within schedule and budget.
- Keep track of progress on all tasks assigned.
- Verify that all assigned work has been completed accurately and on time.
- Making timely decisions, both independently and in concert with others.
- Identify problems or inefficiencies in the department's operation and suggest improvements.
You have:- Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering degree.
- 0 - 2 years related work experience in the rail industry specifically in hardware signalling design.
- Experience with AutoCAD and other similar tool experience.
- Prior knowledge of a configuration management system is an asset.
- Computer literate with knowledge of CAD tools (Microstation, AutoCad), Bills of Materials, (SAP), Configuration Management, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Well-developed verbal skills to interact effectively and professionally in a variety of forums.
- Well-developed writing skills to effectively update instructions clearly to maintain the accuracy of the original instruction.
- Good interpersonal and diplomatic skills to deal confidently, courteously, and correctly with people at any level within the organization.
- Good technical writing skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism in the job and in relations with others.
- Demonstrate initiative, and resourcefulness in solving problems.
- Willingness to understand the processes and methodologies associated with managing engineering documents and drawings.
- Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and attention to detail to generate quality work.
- Demonstrates an advanced level of logical reasoning resulting in effective hardware application designs, products and processes.
