About the role
The role of E&I Supervisor is to support the E&I Executive in managing the plant maintenance, assist on working with suppliers on ensuring E&I spares through effective inventory system. The E&I Supervisor is expected to plan for preventive maintenance in ensuring plant reliability and assist in project design, construction and commissioning in the respective area. He should also have good interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team.

Key responsibilities
- The E&I Supervisor will support the goals and programs established by the management team to continually improve the plant maintenance as well as plant improvement. Included in the roles and responsibilities of the E&I Supervisor are:
- Assist E&I Executive for overall plant repair and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Responsible for efficient running of workshop and engineering stores.
- Assist E&I Executive to liaise with third party contractors on major works carried out in the plant.
- Assist E&I Executive to plan for annual shutdown, electrical and Instrument calibration and repair works of the plant equipment.
- Assist E&I Executive for electrical and Instrument spares order, reorder and stock control, maintain proper inventory at SAP system.
- Responsible to set-up proper documentation and record of preventive maintenance and repair job at SAP system.
- To maintain the plant electrical panels and machines with proper label for the incoming source. To update the records for all new circuit control drawings, breakers, protections and control system from time to time.
- To make sure all the Work Order, permit to work, LOTO system was completed sign OFF and hand back to production before off duty on the day. Proper updated in the SAP system and filing the records are required.
- To ensure plant spare motors record updated every month and available all the time for immediate replacement.
- To carry out testing of Generator set, sprinkler & hydrant diesel pump every weekend with proper records.
- Provide guidance to technician on proper maintenance and repair job.
- Provide training to technician and process operators.
- Ensure safety, GMP and good housekeeping in workshop and plants.
- Responsible for technician discipline, overtime, work arrangement and ensuring full support for the production.
- Ensure good housekeeping and safety practice are carried out including ‘Permit to Work System’.
- Assist in implementation of ISO9001, ISO14001, FSSC22000, HACCP, AIB, GMP, SHE and 5S system in the factory.
- Required to be available for breakdown calls at all the times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested from time to time.
Qualifications and skills
The E&I Supervisor should be in possession of an A1 or A4 chargeman certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
The E&I Supervisor should preferably have a minimum of five (5) years working experience in oleo-chemical/chemical process industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving attitude with excellent communication skills.
Experience in maintaining boilers, chillers and vacuum systems.
Experience in calibration & troubleshooting of all the plant instrumentation.
Project experience in design, construction and commissioning.
- The E&I Supervisor should be able to express ideas effectively in both individual and group situations. In addition, he/she should be able to organize and express ideas clearly in written documents.
- The E&I Supervisor should be able to demonstrate general knowledge of Microsoft office basics and well verse with common related software.
- Independent, resourceful and able to take pressure under fast pace work environment.
