Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain ETP & WTP by regular checking on operation and maintenance activities in reference to planning/schedule.
• Ensure chemical and spare inventory and its indenting.
• Identify training requirements for personnel in the Utility Department and ensure they are suitably trained for job requirements.
• Ensure routine or scheduled maintenance is carried out on time.
• Maintain the equipment daily logbook and ensure consumption is as per the norms.
• Perform gap analysis for utilities and chemicals consumed beyond the norms.
• Ensure equipment health and efficiency.
• Ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
• Ensure legal compliance of the facilities.
• Coordinate with all internal customers for any technical matters.
• Prepare budget and monitor actual consumption periodically.
• Support and participate in audits.
• Plan and progress on any revamp, modification, or shutdown job.
• Emphasize plant reliability & cost savings.
• Facilitate and support minor and major projects.
• Responsible for plant PM activities.
• Coordinate with inside and outside agencies for job completion.
• Manage execution of Capex, repair & refurbishment activities.
• Interact with various support services: Human Resource, Administration, Workshop, Planning, Security for Utility.
Requirements:
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of working experience in engineering utility.
• Required Competency certificate in ETP: Certified Environmental Professional in Industrial Effluent Treatment System (CePIETSO-BP or CePIETSO-PCP).
• Prefer candidates with Manufacturing/Industrial experience.
• Prefer candidates with Utility working experience.
• Complete knowledge of ETP and WTP operation.
• Repair & refurbishment knowledge related to ETP.
• Troubleshooting & analysis of ETP.
• Fair knowledge of chemicals and related chemistry.
• Knowledge of various ETP and WWTP processes including aerobic and anaerobic streams.
• Cross-functional knowledge of utility services.
• Effective execution.
• Complete knowledge of wastewater and water treatment plant.
• Coordination with DOE requirements.
• Maintain statutory compliance.

The role for Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Officer will be based in our Melaka Plant. We offer a permanent role for this position, and you will be responsible for the equipment, systems, and activities related to the Effluent Treatment Plant.
Additional Qualifications:
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any related Engineering courses.
• Must have Certified Environmental Professional in The Operation of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems and Scrubber Operation (CePSO).
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Experience in ETP supervision and scrubber.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to write reports and knowledge in chemical analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the equipment, systems, and all activities related to Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and scrubber.
• Ensure overall safety and legal compliance on Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) facilities and activities.
• Supervise and provide technical support and solutions on the operations, maintenance, and improvement of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) facilities and activities.
• Ensure sufficient chemical stock or spare parts availability for Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) facilities and activities.
• Submit Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and scrubber reports and communicate with DOE.
• Carry out projects assigned by the management.
