Job Opening: Senior Process Engineer

Wood is recruiting a Senior Process Engineer, who has vast experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream business industry to join our Kuala Lumpur Office team to support the Operations APAC (West) engineering activities.

Wood's Operations business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the energy (oil and gas downstream business) & materials sectors within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The APAC Region enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent energy producers, actively supporting operations in:

1. Western Australia - Northern Territory
2. Malaysia
3. South East Asia

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold valid work rights to work lawfully in this Malaysian location. Ideally, you will have:

1. 10+ years of relevant experience in the offshore / onshore Oil and Gas upstream / downstream industry
2. Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM); Professional Engineer Registration is preferred, but not mandatory
3. Experienced engineer with sound technical background and expertise
4. Competent in Technical Process design / environmental requirements, procedures, and responsibilities
5. Knowledge of process regulations and applicable industry codes / standards
6. Excellent report writing and oral communication skills
7. Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context
8. Professional demeanor, interpersonal skills
9. Enthusiastic, conscientious, and keen to learn
10. Able to demonstrate a level of team working skills
11. Flexible with a can-do attitude
12. Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work
13. Demonstrated experience in supporting and mentoring junior colleagues
14. A “solutions mindset” and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities
