Financial Controller (Construction & Engineering) - Based in Ipoh, Perak

Company Background

We are representing our client, an M&E service provider specialising in electrical services, extra low voltage systems, fire protection systems, air conditioning & mechanical ventilation. Our client is currently looking for experienced candidates from the construction/property/M&E industry to fill the Financial Controller position based in Ipoh, Perak.

• Location: Ipoh, Perak

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's objectives, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team.
• Offer strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team.
• Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes, overseeing the preparation of all financial reports.
• Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
• Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business to exceed business plan targets.
• Ensure the risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for the Group.
• Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Possess a professional certificate such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA, etc.
• Experience in a senior financial management role within the construction/M&E/property industry.
• Experience in a public listed company/experience in IPO listing process.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin due to business needs and liaising with Mandarin-speaking contractors.
