Supply Modeler

4+ years of working experience in Supply Chain, Supply Planning, Supply Modelling and any relevant experience

Position Summary

To define planning and optimization strategies associated with model performance, design and deploy new functionalities, and update the Supply Model strategy based on the business requirements from different stakeholders. Moreover, the Supply Modeler is responsible for regularly updating and evaluating supply network models for data-driven improvements and adaptability in a dynamic market environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess the current state of the supply network, understanding business objectives, and designing a strategy to model and optimize the supply chain.
2. Cooperate with stakeholders such as Concurrent Planners, Manufacturing, Inventory Analysts, and Distribution to define the updated business requirements and success criteria and reflect them into strategy templates depending on the market conditions.
3. Translate strategy templates and needs from the business into mathematical/heuristic models.
4. Use modelling and simulation tools to perform updates of the parameters such as costs and penalties of supply network models to align as closely as possible with business goals and test the supply network model.
5. Conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure models remain effective and adapt to changing market conditions and perform regular feedback for Supply Modelling governance meetings.
6. Risk Management and Contingency Planning: Highlight the significance of considering risk management strategies and developing contingency plans within supply chain modelling.

What will make you successful:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business or Economics.
2. Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operational Research or Industrial Engineering.
3. +4 years of experience in supply planning, with significant experience in supply planning processes and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics.
4. +2 years of experience in supply modelling, proficient in modeling techniques, simulation tools, and data analysis methods.
5. +2 years of experience in data analysis, skilled at collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
