Job description
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the Account Payable (AP), Account Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL) functions properly.
- General accounting oversight and analysis.
- Set up procedures, internal control, and systems to ensure the timely & accuracy of deliverables.
- Liaise with external parties like banks, customs, sales tax, auditors, company secretaries, insurance company’s lawyers, etc.
- Plan, implement, and supervise the company’s financial strategy.
- Manage the company’s financial accounts, payrolls and utilities, treasury and budget, cash receipts, month year-end process, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, debt activity, trust account statement reconciliations, and financial assets.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Provide recommendations.
- Tax and company secretarial matters.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assist the Finance Controller in other duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Be competent in Microsoft Excel and have knowledge of Dynamic 365, which will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of working experience in Accounts Payable or any other accounting function.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Excel Advanced.
- Experience with ERP systems is required; SAP experience will be an advantage.
- Well-organized and focused, able to cope with multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting/finance/Cost Accounting or Minimum Diploma Holder.
