Assistant Manager, Finance

Role Description

• Support finance manager on account closing, workflow improvement initiatives, project implementation, and other ad-hoc projects.
• Review general ledger and ensure compliance with established accounting practices.
• Prepare or review accounting schedules (breakdown of prepayments, accruals, expenses, other income, etc.).
• Support monthly variance analysis and financial information analysis.
• Liaise effectively with internal and external parties (government authorities, auditors, tax agents, company secretary, etc.).
• Support external audit and tax matters.

Role Requirements

• Recognized Diploma/Degree or Professional Papers in Accountancy or Finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Senior Finance role.
• Strong in Excel.
• Auditing and manufacturing experience is preferable.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative; ability to organize and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Willing to learn and adapt to changes.
• Experience in company income tax and withholding will be an added advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing costing will be an added advantage.
• The candidate must be willing to work in Pontian Besar, Johor.
