Manager, Compliance Coordinator (Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad, Kuching)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement company policies and regulations;
• Oversee all business operations relating to compliance including policies, investments, and procedures;
• Design and monitor control systems to deal with violations of legal rules and internal policies;
• Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements;
• Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or common issues;
• Coordinate with different department managers to review all departmental compliance policies;
• Applying for compliance certification and regulatory approval;
• Developing and maintaining a compliance recordkeeping system;
• Keeping up with compliance requirements and amendments to regulations;
• Lead employee training sessions on legal and compliance issues;
• Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations;
• Prepare reports for Senior Management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Investigation or equivalent;
• 3 – 5 years of working experience in governance and compliance, risk management, assurance, audit capacity, legal or any other relevant experience;
• Preferably an experienced professional specialising in Integrity & Governance, Risk & Compliance, Legal and Fraud Management and Investigation;
• In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards, regulations, compliance requirements;
• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping;
• A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality;
• Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities;
