About the role

Astino Southern Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing facilities in Melaka. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading a team of production staff to ensure that all products are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. The role will also involve liaising with other departments to optimise production processes and contribute to the overall strategic goals of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the production department, including scheduling, resource allocation and quality control
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of production staff to maximise efficiency and productivity
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production capabilities and reduce costs
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure seamless workflows
• Monitor production metrics and provide regular reporting to senior management
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• Proven track record as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role within the manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management and quality control principles
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically
• Experience in leading and motivating a team of production staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in using production management software and data analysis tools
• Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
