QA MANAGER

About the role

As the QA Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of MICRODRIVE INDUSTRIAL SDN. BHD.'s manufacturing operations in Simpang Ampat, Penang. This full-time position requires an experienced quality assurance professional who can lead a team to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with industry regulations.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing quality control systems and processes to monitor and improve product quality
• Leading a team of quality assurance personnel and overseeing their daily activities
• Analysing quality data and production metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues
• Ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards, industry regulations and internal policies
• Providing training and guidance to production staff on quality best practices
• Continuously exploring new quality assurance methodologies to enhance the company's operations

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industries
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, statistical process control, and root cause analysis techniques
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Proficient in using quality assurance software and data analysis tools
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of quality assurance professionals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
