Job Description:

Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

• Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring all resort facilities (guest rooms, common areas, pools, restaurants, etc.) are well-maintained.
• Ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems are functioning efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and repair any maintenance-related issues promptly to avoid service interruptions.

Preventive Maintenance

• Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities to ensure longevity and prevent breakdowns.
• Regularly inspect the property to identify and address areas needing attention.

Team Management

• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and specialists.
• Delegate tasks and monitor progress to ensure high-quality work is completed within a timely manner.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching or training to enhance team performance.

Budget and Inventory Management

• Manage the maintenance department's budget, including the procurement of parts, tools, and supplies.
• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate stock levels for all required maintenance materials.
• Optimize resources and costs while maintaining high-quality work.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for the maintenance team and other resort staff.
• Liaise with external contractors and vendors when required and oversee their work to ensure it meets the resort's standards.

Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and expenses.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of the resort’s maintenance and any necessary repairs or improvements.

Guest Interaction

• Occasionally interact with guests to address maintenance-related concerns and ensure they are resolved promptly and effectively.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
