Job Profile Summary
The primary role of Manufacturing Quality function is to design, implement and monitor quality control programs. Key deliverables include, but are not limited to, recommending changes to methods, procedures, and standards to improve quality of output based on analysis of data and systems. Ensures products are built correctly to specification, quality standards, and appropriate regulatory compliance. Reports defects and tracks until resolution.
Job Description
Let’s talk about Responsibilities.
- Ensures that approved and written procedures, work instructions, and specifications are carried out correctly.
- Perform QC inspection in a timely manner using standard metrology equipment (Digital callipers and computerised measuring devices such as Micro-Vu, Laser QC, and other related equipment).
- Actively involved in problem solving and troubleshooting quality issues relating to documentation and supplier parts, raise and close NCP by following NCP procedure.
- Ensures that traceability of conforming and non-conforming components is efficiently implemented with the correct labelling system.
- Ensures that a non-conforming component is quarantined, labelled, documented, submitted for evaluation and not released for use nor released to production until quality has been investigated.
- Release Finished product in a timely manner meeting business KPI’s of Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Review and approve DHR and other relevant documents meeting documentation KPI’s.
- Register new equipment and manuals to the Database.
- Provide general administrative duties in Calibration Office. Inspection Tools;
- Ensures that approved and calibrated measuring devices are maintained and available for use.
- Ensures that representative samples are stored properly, maintained, and available in the correct revision.
- Ensures that all procedures, work instructions, and specifications are available in the correct revision.
- Ensures that inspection reports are accurate and reliable.
- Ensures that Lab Books are kept for critical measurements and should be signed and dated.
- Works safely to prevent manual handling injuries.
- Takes active involvement in the prevention of OH&S hazards.
- Ensures that quality standards required by GMP and 6S are followed.
- Perform other tasks assigned as needed.

- To manage individual responsibilities within the QC group.
- To sustain target inspection time, turn-around of one day.
- To identify areas of cost reduction and efficiency within the QC group.
- To continuously maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment.

- Able to revise Work Instruction and ensure that it aligns with current practices.
Required
Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent or at least 5 years’ experience in a similar field (For QC inspector only).
Preferred
Understanding of total quality and best practices.
