Your future position?

As the Boilerman (Senior Maintenance Technician), you will perform routine and complex repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment installations with minimal supervision and in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to site operations. You will be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka reporting to the Senior Site Engineer.

In this exciting role, you will also be responsible for:

1. Performing preventative maintenance and advanced troubleshooting and repairs of production and facility equipment, proactively identifying and resolving recurring maintenance issues in the assigned area.
2. Conducting electrical or mechanical installation, repair, and troubleshooting of boiler, motors, instrumentation, and controls.
3. Identifying deviations and documenting/communicating them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
4. Monitoring contractors on small maintenance projects.
5. Working in accordance with all relevant requirements, including but not limited to ATEX, GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and internal safety guidelines.
6. Participating in lean activities.
7. Maintaining housekeeping, sanitation, food safety, and safety standards in line with company guidelines.
8. Performing administrative duties, including creating and closing work requests using the maintenance management system (SAP).
9. Assisting the Maintenance Lead and/or Supervisor in delivering technical training to staff and following up on work orders.
10. Performing other tasks as assigned.

Your professional profile includes:

1. 5+ years of experience in Maintenance and Mechanical Engineering of Factory Equipment, Machineries, and Utilities.
2. Educational background in Diploma or Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) in engineering-related fields.
3. Relevant manufacturing industry background, such as food, chemicals, plastic, or semiconductor.
4. Boilerman license or 2 years of experience using a boiler is required.
5. Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
6. Proficient in the safe utilization of hand tools and equipment for the installation, disassembly, and testing of electronic, pneumatic, and electrical devices.
7. Ability to operate forklift and good mechanical and/or electrical abilities, e.g., welding, plumbing, pipefitting, or electrical work is advantageous.
8. Skilled in creating, sketching, and redlining standard machine and process drawings, while also delivering concise and precise instructions.
9. Basic knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
10. Strong learning agility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
11. Responsible, proactive, and independent.
12. Able to work in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
