SEEKA (Owned by Fresh Futures) was a concept conceived in the year 2015 and is now the world's largest Education Search Engine offering over 1 million courses from 45 countries. It specializes in guiding students on their true career paths and helping them with their applications to Colleges/Universities all around the 45 countries within the SEEKA Product itself. The company currently needs Education Advisors or Counsellors to be a part of the team to carry on the project's mission to guide and direct students to the right course path as well as career path, even if it means helping them study in a different country.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Education Advisor / Counsellor to join our team in a remote capacity, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you will provide expert guidance and support to students, helping them navigate their educational journey and make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.
Conduct virtual counseling sessions with students to assess their educational needs and goals
Develop personalized education plans and provide guidance on course selection, academic programs, and career pathways
Assist students in understanding admission requirements, application processes, and scholarship opportunities
Collaborate with educational institutions to stay updated on program offerings and admission criteria
Organize and facilitate online workshops and webinars on topics such as study skills, time management, and career planning
Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress using digital platforms
Provide support and resources for students facing academic challenges or personal issues that impact their education
Stay informed about trends in education, job market demands, and online learning opportunities
Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
Previous experience in education advising or counseling, preferably in a remote or online setting
Strong knowledge of educational systems, academic programs, and career development strategies
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with students virtually
Proficiency in online communication tools and digital platforms for remote counseling
Demonstrated empathy, patience, and ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a caseload of students effectively
Familiarity with online resources and tools for educational research and career exploration
Counseling certification is preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational trends
Additional Information
Can be done remotely or in a hybrid work arrangement (Workplace would be in Mont Kiara)
