Production Manager (Based in Gabon, Africa)

We are seeking an eager, motivated Production Manager to supervise all production processes and ensure that the required materials are selected and purchased. The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly and that deadlines are met while following health and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be open to learning new things, not afraid to take chances, and interested in learning every aspect of running this company based at Gabon, Africa (2 years Contract).

Job Description:

1. Enforce health and safety protocols during all stages of production.
2. Create and maintain a production schedule.
3. Find ways to reduce production costs.
4. Implement strategies to maximize production.
5. Analyse workplace productivity.
6. Resolve any concerns voiced by employees.
7. Work out costing for new products.
8. Ensure the product meets the quality according to order requirements.
9. Determine if new manufacturing machines or methods are needed.
10. Coordinate with sales, procurement, and other departments as well as vendors.
11. Hire, train, and evaluate manufacturing workers; monitor workers to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
12. Ensure that at every month end, all machines are oiled and greased and recorded.
13. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Preferably possess more than 5 years working experience in logging operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety laws.
• Managerial experience.
• Able to travel to Gabon for a 2-year contract.
• Motivated toward career growth and learning.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical skills.
