RELIABILITY TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

To assist the Reliability Engineer in overseeing the assessment and management of the reliability of operations that could impact the health & safety of people and the container moving business. This includes creating and implementing an effective strategy to identify machinery defects, eliminating the sources of those defects, and using appropriate tools to continuously improve that strategy.

Job Description

1. Assist the Reliability Engineer in overseeing the assessment and management of the reliability of operations that could impact health & safety.
2. Help create and implement an effective strategy to identify machinery defects and eliminate their sources.
3. Ensure safety management by:
   • Monitoring and enforcing all HSSE requirements while carrying out work.
   • Keeping oneself and others safe at all times while performing duties.
   • Eliminating environmental impacts related to scheduled waste.
   • Carrying out material disposal according to scheduled waste requirements when applicable.
4. Assist the Reliability Engineer to ensure all plant equipment has a maintenance plan on file that matches expected failure modes.
5. Identify equipment failure modes and select appropriate preventive and condition-monitoring tasks to prevent these failure modes.
6. Collect and analyze equipment failure data to track bad actors and identify dominant failure modes.
7. Assist the Reliability Engineer with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or the Defect Elimination process.

Requirements

1. Diploma or technical certificate or related professional qualifications in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
2. Having Reliability and/or MLTII Certification is an advantage.
3. At least 1 - 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance operations.
4. Basic supervisory skills.
5. Ability to prioritize unexpected situations.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
