Our APAC GBS supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.

About Role

This position is a hands-on role and will join an energetic growing team where your primary role will be to take care of company MS SQL servers and databases.

Along with your primary responsibilities, your role will cover problem and incident management, problem analysis, problem solving, access management, DB maintenance, monitoring, reporting and DB query scripting.

We are looking for a team player, willing to collaborate and learn in a fast-paced environment, and able to work independently with high self-motivation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Installation of MS SQL instances and migration databases
• Patching and upgrade of DB systems
• Create, change, delete user accounts and manage the roles
• Configure DB backups and perform restorations
• Configure maintenance plans and create reports
• Design and development of database-driven scripts to implement business requirements
• Monitoring of the DB systems and performing health checks
• Performance tuning and applying best practices for the DB instances
• Participate on projects, translation of business requirements and implementation
• Troubleshooting issues using ticketing, problem analysis and solution implementation
• Investigate the root cause of incidents and initiate actions to improve or correct the situation
• Anticipate on-call duties, independently resolving and troubleshooting of incidents and errors within defined expertise

What you should have:

• Min 3 years working experience in similar/related field. Experience working in Shared Services/Business Centers is preferred
• Advanced knowledge in MS SQL; knowledge in Azure SQL MI and AWS RDS or DB2 is nice to have
• Hands-on experience with support of MS SQL administration. Knowledge in DB-scripting will be advantageous
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills, both written and verbal
• Strong stakeholder management and ownership
• Ability to work as part of a global team, as well as being part of a local market team
