About the role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Editor to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and formatting reports to ensure they meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will help to refine our written content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across various types of reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review technical documents for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- Carefully review and edit reports for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting
- Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to improve the clarity and flow of content
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of data and findings within reports
- Ensure format reports according to company or client specifications
- Ensure that all reports align with company branding and communication standards
- Organize and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
- Develop and maintain templates and style guides
- Track document revisions and manage version control
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Assist in the development of documentation strategies and plans
- Participate in meetings to gather information and updates on projects
- Conduct peer reviews and quality assurance checks on technical content
- Meet tight deadlines and work efficiently to deliver high-quality work
- Proofread final versions of reports before report submission for approval
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a technical editor or in a similar role
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or related field
- Advanced understanding of technical writing principles and best practices
- Proficiency in multiple software tools for document creation and editing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and translate complex technical information
- Proficiency with standard word processing and document management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Familiarity with technical documentation standards and best practices
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Prior experience in technical editing or writing
