Job description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintain relationships with shippers and logistics service providers and coordinate freight pick-up and deliveries.

Daily Operation – Documentation Handling:

  1. Assist FC Liaise with logistics service providers and customers to ensure on-time deliveries.
  2. Manage shipping documentation for accuracy and the timely release of invoices from the customer.
  3. Maintain monitoring dashboard for all shipments processed to keep good tracking in the volume of activities.
  4. Help control billing matters with logistics service providers to reduce the delay of payment processing.

Vendor Management

  1. Assist and manage the performance of logistics service providers to ensure on-time delivery of shipments.
  2. Participate in vendor performance reviews to ensure vendor adherence to committed lead time.
  3. Support insurance claims arising from logistics service providers or internal trucking to ensure maximum recovery on losses.
  4. Work jointly with logistics service providers and the Management Team on transport plan deployment to minimize transition difficulties during implementation.

Customer Management:

  1. Liaise with internal and external customers on transportation matters to ensure smooth operations.
  2. Improve service levels by identifying optimization of processes and procedures.

Freight Invoice Management:

  1. Receive weekly/monthly manual invoices from logistics service providers.
  2. Conduct manual freight audits.
  3. Submit payment approvals.

Job Requirements

  1. Diploma/Degree or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in the transport/freight forwarding/logistics field.
  3. Logistics/third party logistics (3PL) industry know-how and background; conversant with commercial processes and operational viabilities.
  4. Superior communication and interpersonal skills; strong team player.
  5. Independent performer; motivated and resilient, with an ability to deal with difficult customers and deliver under pressure.
  6. Strong analytical skills to interpret and examine required regulations.
  7. Fluency in English is required.
  8. Highly proficient in MS Office or Google Docs platforms.
  9. Willing to work on NIGHT SHIFT.

RM2,000 - RM3,000 a month
