IT SOX Audit Leader (Based in KL)

About the Role

As the IT SOX Audit Director, you will be instrumental in managing and enhancing IT controls framework, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations. This role requires a strategic mindset and hands-on experience in IT audit processes, with a focus on delivering value and maintaining organizational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee the IT SOX compliance program, including design, implementation, and testing of controls.
2. Collaborate with IT, finance, and business units to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
3. Lead IT audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
4. Conduct cyber risk assessments to identify, assess, and mitigate cyber threats to our organization.
5. Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures that support compliance objectives.
6. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance IT governance and internal controls.
7. Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring efficient coordination and reporting.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in IT audit, SOX compliance, or a related role.
3. Strong understanding of SOX requirements, IT general controls (ITGCs), cyber risk assessment, and control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, COSO).
4. Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CRISC, or CISSP are highly preferred.
5. Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
6. Experience in managing audits in multinational organizations is an advantage.
7. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
