Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Staff Management
    • Oversee hiring, training, and development of staff.
    • Schedule and coordinate staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
    • Monitor and evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
    • Ensure staff adhere to company standards, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  2. Quality Control
    • Ensure the consistent quality of beverages served to guests.
    • Address any customer complaints or concerns regarding beverage quality or service promptly.
    • Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain standards for beverage preparation, cleanliness, and presentation.
  3. Health, Safety, and Compliance
    • Conduct regular inspections to guarantee cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
    • Stay updated with legal requirements and industry standards, including licensing and health codes.
    • Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, including beverage handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  4. Menu Planning and Development
    • Stay on top of industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the beverage offerings.
    • Collaborate with HQ to create menus that align with customer preferences and business goals.
    • Monitor the performance of menu items and make adjustments as necessary to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  5. Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Negotiate with suppliers for beverages and other supplies.
    • Monitor waste levels and implement measures to reduce wastage.
    • Share local feedback with HQ on supplier performance, cost, and product quality.
    • Manage inventory levels of beverage items, ensuring that stock is replenished when necessary.
    • Coordinate with HQ's supply chain department to ensure that the local operation is receiving necessary supplies, ingredients, and beverages in line with company standards and quantities.
  6. Budgeting and Financial Management
    • Create and manage budgets for beverage operations.
    • Monitor expenses and make adjustments to ensure financial targets are met.
    • Analyze financial reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS), profit margins, and labor costs.
  7. Marketing and Promotion
    • Analyze market trends and competitors to stay competitive.
    • Develop strategies to increase sales, including seasonal promotions, discounts, and special events.
    • Work with the marketing team to promote beverage offerings through campaigns, social media, and events.
  8. Strategic Planning and Initiatives
    • Provide HQ with input on local market conditions or potential opportunities for growth, new product launches, or expansion.
    • Collaborate with HQ on strategic planning and long-term goals for the F&B operation, ensuring that local strategies align with corporate objectives.
  9. Liaising with Licensees
    • Work closely with licensees to ensure that the business meets all relevant licensing regulations.
    • Negotiate or discuss terms with licensees, such as rent agreements, franchise terms, or operational guidelines.
    • Act as the main point of contact between the HQ and its licensees, ensuring clear communication regarding operational issues, changes, promotion, marketing events, and requirements.
  10. Business Expansion and Growth
    • Market analysis and opportunity identification, identify new markets, potential locations for expansion, or untapped customer segments.
    • Implementation of expansion plans, lead or support the rollout of expansion projects, including opening new locations, hiring staff, and establishing operational systems.
    • Licensee and partner management, if expansion includes licensing, manage relationships with licensing or external partners, ensuring that they adhere to company standards.
    • Oversee the renovation budget, ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Assess the current space and operations, determining areas that need improvement or renovation (e.g. layout, seating arrangement, décor, etc.).
    • Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to develop a renovation plan that meets operational goals while enhancing the customer experience.
  11. Operational Efficiency
    • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
    • Streamline operations to ensure efficiency and minimize delays or bottlenecks in beverage preparation and service.
    • Be able to utilize technology (POS systems, management software) to improve efficiency in tracking sales, inventory, and staff performance.
  12. Reporting and Analysis
    • Use data to inform decision-making and adjust operations as needed to improve results.
    • Generate reports on beverage operations, including sales performance, customer satisfaction, and cost analysis.
  13. Beverage Cost Calculation
    • Computing beverage costs will play a key role in ensuring that beverage operations remain profitable and efficient. The role not only involves computing costs for existing beverages but also for new items introduced to the menu.
    • This includes understanding ingredient costs, determining pricing strategies, and ensuring profitability without compromising on quality.
  14. Collaborate with Finance & Accounting Team
    • Maintain a constant line of communication with the HQ and accounting teams to ensure that financial data is accurate.
    • Ensuring that rebates from HQ are tracked, claimed, and accounted for correctly, and providing accurate reporting for the Finance & Accounting Team.
    • Collecting all relevant information for invoicing, gathering necessary documentation, verifying billing information, ensuring payment terms are followed, and resolving any issues that arise during the invoicing process.
