Accountant

Responsibilities

1. LEGAL ENTITY / COMPLIANCE: Accountable for compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements of the entities; keep abreast of latest accounting standards, treatment, and best practices. Responsible for entity statutory accounting, audit, taxation, and custom compliance with various departments, auditors, tax agents, and company secretary.
2. FINANCIAL REPORTING/ GENERAL LEDGER: Responsible for month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
3. AUDIT: Plan and coordinate the annual financial audit process. Prepare audit schedules, draft financial statements, and disclosure notes. Respond to internal & external auditors on audit data, variances, and audit findings. Resolve issues and deficiencies arising from audit findings.
4. TAXATION RELATED/ DEFERRED TAXATION: Work with tax agents for corporate income tax/GST/SST/Digital Service Tax/Transfer Pricing/Withholding tax matters. Responsible for the preparation of the annual tax reporting package, including tax schedules and final tax computation, and handle tax inquiries. Prepare quarterly and annual provisional tax computation and deferred taxation. Compile tax-related information to support tax health checks. Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
5. IFRS 16 LEASING: Identify and assess rental contracts. Detect leasing contracts and compile leasing templates, record leasing transactions in SAP, and perform leasing accounts reconciliation timely. Advise purchasing and other colleagues on leasing-related matters (e.g., correct GL account). Participate in forecasting of capex for leasing.
6. FSS: FINANCIAL CLOSING COCKPIT (FCC): Responsible for FCC of assigned legal entities. Oversee quality of all closing activities under FSS care. Support and advise colleagues and clients in resolving month-end/year-end closing issues - FI & CO. Align FCC of all legal entities under FSS care.
7. IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: Assist in ad hoc improvement projects, especially in Accounts Payables and Fixed Asset.
