Senior Mechanical EngineerTo perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for the mechanical engineering & preparation of drawings and technical documentation required for the execution of Industrial projects (Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Mission Critical projects - Data Centre) from concept design, FEED design and detailed design.
Job Responsibilities- Review and analysis of regulatory requirement and safety design as per standards.
- Basis of Design / General Mechanical Drawings / Datasheets.
- Static & Utility Equipment Arrangement / Calculations & Technical specifications.
- HVAC duct & piping, Plumbing & Utilities drawings.
- Fire suppression piping systems.
- Review and Developing the Detailed Mechanical Engineering.
- Bill of Materials Take off.
- Coordination and management of equipment vendors.
- Technical clarification with vendor and/or sub -constructor.
- Review shop drawings and execute TBE of drawings sub-contractor.
- Ensuring design work interfaces well with that of other disciplines.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and procedures.
- Coordinate, oversee and supervise the Site Construction Work and liaison with site general contractor.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- 6-10 years' experience in the mechanical engineering preferably in Industrial projects.
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia. PEng is an added advantage.
- Experienced in Industrial work environment.
- Experienced in Management of Change (MOC) projects are an added advantage.
- AutoCAD experience is must.
- Good hand-on skill with 3D Modeling tools such as Sketch Up, 3D Max Modeling, Revit, etc.
- Additional Knowledge of 3D Design Software is added value.
- Preferred good knowledge of HVAC load calculation, energy modelling and efficiency optimization.
- Thorough Knowledge of Malaysia Code and local legislative regulations / International codes regulations
- Added value in having past work experience in the multicultural team and hybrid environment.
