Principal Responsibilities
- Provide technical pre-sales support in articulating infrastructure design with in-depth product knowledge of minimum two technology domains as identified by CLIENT as long-term strategy.
- Drive solution sales by understanding clients’ technical needs and translating identified needs into solutions.
- Develop soft skills identified by CLIENT, such as sales and communication-related skills.
Proposal Preparation
- Communicate with internal or external clients for requirement gathering using phone or collaboration tools.
- Craft initial bill of material/configuration for complex solutions. Identify the suitable model to be proposed based on capacity, features, and client IT environment needs.
- Identify and map client support services needs into CLIENT services offerings. Incorporate support services and managed services ideas into proposals.
- Generate customized proposals, translating client business needs into technical solutions.
- Understand the client's current infrastructure environment and propose relevant solutions and technical services scope of work required for end-to-end implementation.
- Facilitate and lead complex solutioning, working with clients, vendors, and internal teams, and be responsible for end-to-end integration and design.
- Estimate man-days effort and craft project implementation work breakdown structure and timelines.
- Analyze competitor landscape among manufacturer products and system integration. Articulate the strength of CLIENT’s value and strength through competitive CLIENT solution and services propositions.
- Draw network diagrams in Visio and prepare PowerPoint presentations, in a structured manner translating business requirements into technical designs and demonstrating CLIENT strength and solutions fitness.
Adhere to CLIENT sales processes and collaboration tools to communicate and deliver results.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer/Electronics/IT/Telecom Engineering.
- Minimum 5-7 years relevant presales or consulting experience, with a proven track record of winning and leading complex solutioning deals.
- Preferred 5 years of implementation, design, and consulting experience.
- Possess excellent technical sales and communication skills.
- Have a passion for new technologies and self-motivated learning.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel to consolidate complex bill of materials and design synchronization.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, able to use TOC, styling, and caption to automate proposal templates.
- Good understanding of VMs, operating systems – Linux/Windows, load balancers, and network configurations, storage, and data center technologies.
- Knowledge of fundamental data center technologies including unified computing, data center network virtualization, Cisco data center networking technologies, data center automation, and orchestration.
- Excellent understanding and experience with enterprise firewalls and network security.
- Experience with Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Checkpoint, or Juniper Net Screen firewalls is a plus. Palo Alto and Juniper Firewall knowledge and experience are essential.
Any of the below Professional Certification:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is required.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is required.
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) & CCIE – added advantage.
