We are seeking an experienced Painting Assistant Manager (Process Engineering) to oversee and enhance our painting processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves optimizing process parameters, implementing improvements, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and optimize painting processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
Analyze and troubleshoot defects, ensuring continuous process enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive lean manufacturing and cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure painting processes comply with ISO standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
Conduct and implement corrective actions for process deviations.
Work closely with QA teams to maintain high-quality finishes and minimize defects.
Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and upgrading of painting equipment.
Research and recommend new painting technologies, materials, and automation solutions.
Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure optimal material selection and cost-effectiveness.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians in painting process improvements.
Provide training on best practices, SOPs, and safety protocols related to painting.
Monitor team performance and support skill development
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience and Skills
5+ years of experience in painting process engineering (preferably in the manufacturing industry).
Strong knowledge of powder coating and spray painting technologies.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
Experience in using PLC-based automation for painting lines (preferred).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
