Business Analyst, Data Assets & Data Demand, Group Data & Analytics, GSI

As a Business Analyst in the Data Asset & Demand team under GCDO department, he/she will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams. The primary responsibility will be to understand business requirements, analyse data needs, and collaborate with Group Technology to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient data platforms and infrastructure. He/She will also support strategic initiatives to maximize the value of data assets while ensuring alignment with business goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with new technologies and drive innovation in data integration and advanced analytics in the financial industry.

Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit and document data-related requirements.
• Analyze and translate business needs into technical specifications for Group Technology teams.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to clarify requirements, identify gaps, and propose solutions.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as liaison between business units and Group Technology to ensure clear communication and understanding.
• Maintain strong relationships with data users, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
• Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks and milestones.

Data Infrastructure and Platform Support

• Work with Group Technology to define, design, and implement data infrastructure solutions that fit the requirement from the business units.
• Ensure that the platforms are scalable, secure and meet business demands.
• Support UAT, troubleshooting and optimization of data systems required.

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent).
• Experience (2+ years) as Business Analyst, preferably in banking, finance, or data-related roles.
• Familiarity with data modelling, basic SQL, and other database management systems is a must.
• Strong understanding of data platforms, infrastructure, and analytic tools (e.g: OAS, Denodo, Feature Store).
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data governance, compliance and regulatory framework is a plus.
• Understanding in project management methodologies (e.g: Scrum, Agile).
