About the role

Lio Capital Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and components. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the company's growth.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and review designs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Plan and manage mechanical engineering tasks within construction projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
• Inspect and test mechanical systems to ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory and quality assurance purposes.
• Monitor and maintain the functionality of construction equipment and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to machinery and systems on-site.
• Design and recommend energy-efficient systems to optimize operational costs.
• Incorporate sustainable practices and materials into mechanical designs to meet environmental standards.

What we're looking for

• At least Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical companies or any similar field
• Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with project management principles and practices
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Willing to travel to project sites when required
