Lesaffre is opening a position Testing Technician (Bread making), based in Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This position reports to the Baking Center Manager, APA.
The part you will play
Evaluation of yeast and ingredients performance profiles on selected bread applications.
Key responsibility and Activities:
- Revenue Management
- Identification of representative applications with Quality/ technical services / commercial
- Development of procedures for good repeatability / reproducibility
- Plan and conduct daily and weekly tests
- Formalization of test protocols
- Updating recipes / process to maximize the relevance and representativeness of the selected tests.
- Organization of sample collection
- Participation in the definition of collection / preparation of market samples and tests samples
- Sample identification and records.
- Supply and purchase of raw materials required (flour, fat…)
- Test Bread
- Selection and maintenance of equipment to operate the tests
- Selection of reference revenue by origin / destination of the sample / parameters to assess
- Preparation of raw materials
- Recording and exploitation of results
- Prepare baking test reports
- Entering data in the database
- Annotation, and dissemination of results to interested
- Exploitation / extraction on demand
- Training and experience sharing
- Staff training to highlight the impact of these tests (other services)
- Train Testing Technician of baking from other subsidiaries
- Experience sharing
And You!
- Certificate/Diploma/Degree related to Food Technology or Baking science
- Trained Lab Technician with exposure to baking.
- At least 2 years of experience in Food Industry (grain industry preferences) with a laboratory profile.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques or baking bases to assimilate quickly and/or knowledge of baking processes of the Region
- Knowledge of yeast ingredients and improvers (biochemical actions, baking functionality at region level)
- Baking test experience is a plus
Language
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Written and spoken)

- Competence in computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
