About the role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Maintenance Assistant Manager/Manager to join our team at TRANS PACIFIC TEXTILE (M) SDN. BHD. in Kluang Johor. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance operations and ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing facility.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies and schedules to maximise equipment uptime and productivity
• Overseeing and coordinating the maintenance team, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring their work
• Conducting regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures
• Liaising with production and other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities
• Analysing maintenance data and providing reports to management on equipment performance and recommendations for improvements
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures and process improvements in the maintenance function
• Providing leadership, mentorship, and training to the maintenance team
• Build up sourcing connection with the local maintenance spare parts suppliers
• Overseeing the operation of machines used in the production line such as dyeing vessel machines, stenter machines, circular machines, slitting machines, and scouring machines

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in the manufacturing or textile industry
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment, machinery, and maintenance best practices
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Proficient in interpreting and implementing maintenance-related regulations and standards
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, maintenance management, or a related field
