Maintenance Technician

Job Description

A maintenance technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots issues, and repairs mechanical, electrical, or facility systems. Their role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance
   • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns.
2. Electrical System Maintenance
   • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, breakers, and control panels.
   • Replace faulty electrical components such as switches, relays, and fuses.
   • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and codes.
3. Facility Maintenance
   • Maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, and lighting fixtures.
   • Repair or replace structural elements such as doors, windows, flooring, and roofing.

Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate of mechanical or electrical field.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
