Reporting to Head of Sourcing, the intern shall be immersed in the dynamics of the procurement process, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations. This role shall be supporting and assisting the day-to-day procurement operation following the company policies and standard procedures.
SCOPE OF WORK/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist team members in performing evaluations on commercial proposals submitted by vendors, based on given guidance.
- Support business users in structuring POs for different spend categories, based on guidelines provided by line manager.
- Assist team members in conducting cost analysis and price benchmarking as preparation for commercial negotiation (hotel room rates, standard rate negotiation for contingent workers, spend analysis for renewal of medical & travel assistance services, etc.).
- Utilize ERP system tool (Coupa) and Microsoft Office suite for data analysis and report generation.
- Assist team members in managing contracts & services owned by the Sourcing team (travel services, printer, mobile phone line).
REQUIREMENTS- Pursuing a Bachelor or Professional Degree in any field, preferably Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive approach to learning and a keen interest in procurement and supply chain operations.
