If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer - FEA to join the team based in Genesis Energies, Kuala Lumpur.

About The Role:

Your main missions and responsibilities will be to:

1. Understand the technical data and discipline work instructions.
2. Identify personnel development path and training needs.
3. Assist with annual appraisals as per company’s annual Human Resource policy.
4. Follow project management instructions to ensure completion of project is in accordance with project requirements, relevant laws, regulations and codes.
5. Review job scope and provide estimates, where necessary for activity completion.
6. Prepare detailed schedules for applicable engineering activities.
7. Review and check applicable project specifications.
8. Develop and analyze engineering solutions to specific job requirements.
9. Prepare and check equipment/material specifications / data sheets.
10. Prepare and check calculations, where necessary.
11. Provide technical bid evaluations input.
12. Liaise with other disciplines for applicable engineering interfaces.
13. Review and approve all relevant data.
14. Participate in engineering co-ordination / progress meetings, and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
15. Participate in safety and design review meeting, where necessary.

About You:

Catch this opportunity and invest in your skills development, your profile should meet these Qualifications & Experience:

1. Engineering degree qualified – Pipeline / Mechanical / Civil Engineering.
2. Candidate must have overall 10 years experience in offshore / subsea pipeline engineering in FEED or detailed design projects, particularly having a minimum of 8 years experience in subsea / offshore pipeline global buckling and walking design and associated advanced pipeline engineering.
3. Candidate must have hands-on experience in ABAQUS (FEA) and associated software/tools (Buckfast to perform pipeline global buckling and walking analysis) and should have executed at least 5 medium to large pipeline projects that involved FEA pipeline global buckling and walking design, as well as strain-based and fatigue designs according to latest DNV / Safebuck standards.
4. Candidate must have experience in deterministic and probabilistic methods / VAS and should have the latest technical know-how, well-versed with latest technical publications / papers / research works regarding pipeline global buckling and walking design.
5. Candidate should be familiar with other pipeline design software such as DNV-OS-F-101 spreadsheet, AGA, DNV Stablelines, Offpipe/ OrcaFlex, Sage profile, AutoPIPE, DNV Fatfree, Ansys, Mathcad and MS office tools (preferable).
6. Candidate should have exposure to pipeline design – pipeline design basis, wall thickness design, on-bottom stability design, coating selection, cathodic protection design, free span and on-bottom roughness analysis, crossing design, shore approach design, riser & expansion spool design and installation analysis, and pipeline route selection.
7. Exposure to clad / lined pipelines, piggyback / bundle pipelines, sour service pipelines, long trunk or export lines.
8. Candidate should be familiar with subsea structure designs such as risers & spools / PLET / in-line structures related to pipeline global buckling and walking issues.
9. Candidate should be familiar with pipeline design standards & codes – ASME, API, DNV, ISO, etc.
