Overview:

The job holder is responsible for managing all the system administration of Wintel based servers. This role reports to the Wintel Team Lead.

Overall Responsibilities

• Manage the Wintel Cloud
• Oversee (including upgrade/migration) all existing systems as needed
• Ensure secure, reliable, and stable operation of the systems
• Oversee backup and recovery strategy for all Windows-based systems
• Manage proper storage allocation and management of overall storage unit
• Work closely with counterpart and project management team for daily maintenance and support
• Notify management about potential problems associated with system health
• Participate in DR exercise within the bank and HL group of companies
• Documentation
• Ensure accurate records reflecting current and historical system parameters and configuration settings (including system patches and fixes) along with justifications for these settings and the decision-making process

• Provide statistics on systems performance, i.e., system load, response time, and available disk space
• Notify management about potential problems associated with the systems

• Ensure security procedures and audit requirements are adhered to at all times
• Escort and supervise all 3rd party computer service personnel attending to service calls in the Data Centre facility
• Comply with BAFIA - Section 97(1) - Banking Secrecy regarding the prohibition of disclosing any information or documents related to customer affairs or accounts
• Maintain a clean desk

• Malaysian citizen.
• Recognized Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
• At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Wintel-based System Administration
• Knowledge in system administration including capacity planning and performance tuning
• Competency in Windows technical skills
• Exposure to server virtualization technology
• Certification in Wintel-based system administration preferred
