About the Company
Randstad is collaborating with a leading Multinational Retail Group from Hong Kong, a key player in the Retail Apparel industry. They are hiring for a FP&A Assistant Manager to join their office in Kuala Lumpur. This role is crucial for supporting the company's expansion efforts and contributing to their financial strategy and operations.


About the Job

Financial Management Oversight

  1. Lead the financial management and accounting team for Malaysia.
  2. Oversee business planning and financial activities to ensure alignment with financial goals and budgets.
  3. Develop and communicate budget and planning assumptions to key stakeholders.

Profit and Loss (P&L) Support

  1. Partner with the Malaysia General Manager to manage and optimize the P&L.
  2. Analyze sales performance and operating costs to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making and enhance financial performance.

Governance and Compliance

  1. Establish and enforce checks to protect the company's interests.
  2. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders during planning and execution.
  3. Ensure transparency and provide access to critical information for informed decision-making.

Budgeting and Financial Planning

  1. Prepare and deliver budgets, financial plans, and necessary business documentation.
  2. Perform ongoing financial audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  3. Track performance against budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify risks and opportunities.

Cost Analysis and Optimization

  1. Assess key cost drivers and propose strategies for cost optimization.
  2. Recommend actionable solutions that align with the company's strategic priorities.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with any accounting professional qualifications.
  2. Proven at least 5-6 years of experience in FP&A roles, with a track record of financial analysis and strategic planning.
  3. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
  4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  6. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
  7. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
